If you ever attended a Hardeman County Arts Council (HCAC) production, you have only seen a bit of the talent that exists in our county. Our stage productions have included quality actors and singers, some from out of the area, but most from Hardeman County. We know the talent is out there and we want you to “show us what you got” at the “Hardeman’s Got Talent” contest that will be held on Friday, November 15, 7 p.m. at the HCAC.
The HCAC is heading to Grand Junction, Middleton, Toone and Whiteville for audition dates:
Saturday, October 19
John S. Wilder Community Center, Grand Junction
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Toone Elementary School
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, October 26
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Middleton Community Center
2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“We want talented people from all over Hardeman County that would like a chance to share their talents with their friends and neighbors,” said HCAC President Gary Barrowclough. ” Feel free to show off almost any entertaining skills you may have.”
The talent of those auditioning may include, but are not limited to, comedy, dance, juggling, solo and group acts and more. The only presentation requirement for everyone auditioning is the talent is family friendly. All ages of people who are current residents of Hardeman County are eligible to audition. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The auditions will follow with the finals being held at the HCAC in Bolivar on Friday, November 15. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the finals. There is no fee to audition, but a $30 entry fee will apply for all audition finalists that appear in the November 15 finals.
Come prepared to audition at one of the four locations. There will be a sound system that plays CDs and can connect to cell phones. Dress comfortably, shake off any nervous jitters and come ready to show us your talent.
We are looking forward to Hardeman County showing up and showing out with its talent. Come out and audition (or come to applaud those auditioning and performing) and support this community event.
